A Kentico Case Study
Wasaga Beach Tourism partnered with Seventyeight Digital to build a low-cost, CMS-driven website that would live inside RTO7’s BruceGreySimcoe portal framework. The challenge was to deliver a responsive, modular site that could be cloned for other DMOs, fully bilingual (English/French) with easy content administration, robust event management for busy summer programming, and multiple photo/video galleries while centralizing operator data and reducing duplication of effort and hosting overhead.
Seventyeight Digital implemented a Kentico-based portal, adding a language toggle, customized Event (Booking System) page types with a submission form workflow, and bespoke Photo and Video page types tied to a media library for simple gallery management. Launched in March 2017, the site validated the portal approach: it delivered operational and marketing benefits, significant cross-organizational cost savings through shared data and hosting, and a scalable ecosystem that increases reach and value as more tourism portals join.
