Sky, Europe’s leading entertainment company, partnered with Rockpool Digital to support the launch of Sky Q — its most advanced TV product. A segment of customers, particularly those living in blocks of flats, needed a simple system upgrade controlled by their managing agents, so Sky required a way to identify those agents and keep customers engaged while upgrades were arranged. Rockpool, involved from the product’s inception, was tasked with creating a flexible, personalised customer journey that integrated with Sky’s CRM and could be rapidly iterated.

Rockpool built a four-step upgrade hub on Kentico across five fortnightly agile sprints, underpinned by strong UX research, analytics, CRM integration, multivariate testing and automated personalised communications. Launched in 10 weeks, the site delivered 12,000 active sign-ups, instigated 1,500 upgrade conversations, boosted mobile conversion by 70%, and achieved a 67% open rate and 29% click-through on the first campaign email.
