Wakefield Hospice, a healthcare charity, needed a new website that balanced sensitive patient and care information with a strong fundraising presence. Their old, rigid CMS made updates slow and left no content freedom, while the Hospice required online support for bespoke events, a store with fixed-price and donation-driven products, and a secure donations flow to support a £3.2m annual fundraising target.

Pixelbuilders rebuilt the site on Kentico CMS, reorganizing the sitemap around three user groups and a four-tier menu to make care, fundraising and professional information easy to find. Kentico’s eCommerce and event features (enhanced with targeted bespoke development) provided customizable products, varied event booking types and PayPal payments, plus donation messaging tied to impact. The result was a more flexible, easy-to-manage site, stronger online presence for fundraising and positive client feedback from Wakefield Hospice.
