Visit Mourne Mountains is a destination marketing portal developed to showcase the Mourne region to locals and visitors. The brief was to improve public perception, support local businesses, streamline access to regional information and events, and deliver a modern, mobile-friendly experience that promotes the area as a confident place to live, shop and visit.
The solution combines a responsive HTML5 website and native iOS/Android apps backed by Kentico CMS, integrated with NITB data, Google Maps, multimedia, real‑time updates, syndication and community/personalisation features (My Mournes). The result is a self‑sustaining, location‑aware platform with easy search, push notifications, revenue‑generating banner advertising and a flexible foundation for ongoing growth and promotion of the Mourne region.
