A Kentico Case Study

Preview of the Usdaw Case Study

Usdaw - Customer Case Study

Usdaw, one of Britain’s largest trade unions with over 432,000 members, needed to replace their discontinued Immediacy CMS and improve online joining, search, navigation and mobile access while shifting from print-centric content to web-friendly, searchable pages. The biggest challenge was changing content creation and curation practices within the organisation and preparing their membership system for future integration and personalisation.

Reading Room selected Kentico as the best-fit CMS and built a conversion-led, responsive site that organizes publications by topic and brings printed content onto web pages, with Kentico EMS enabling future CRM and email integration. Early results show strong engagement gains: mobile traffic rose from 34% to 54.97%, average visit duration increased from 1m22s to 3m20s, unique visitors grew from 125,748 to 162,602, and bounce rate fell slightly from 47.49% to 46.59%.
