A Kentico Case Study
TriMark USA, the country’s largest supplier of equipment and design services to the foodservice industry, needed a complete rebuild of its product catalog as it reorganized and recategorized its offering. The project had to incorporate 165,000 products (including non-featured manufacturers), introduce faceted search and enhanced manufacturer and product pages, reorganize navigation and product details, and add an “Add to Quote” workflow to let users request pricing.
Wakefly implemented a Smart Search–based faceted search with dynamic filter counts and nested searches, added a custom event handler to keep featured-manufacturer flags and the Kentico search index in sync, extended form controls and navigation transforms to expose categories/subcategories, and built a GUID-based “Add to Quote” flow that stores selections in custom tables and emails requests to TriMark. The result is far better product discoverability—16 main product classes that drill down into groups, categories and types, plus filters by specs like height and width—helping TriMark showcase its breadth and drive qualified quote requests.
