A Kentico Case Study
Trade & Invest BC, the provincial international marketing arm for British Columbia, needed a website redesign to better serve three distinct audiences—international investors, international buyers and local exporters—and to support long-term, maintainable outreach including localized sites for China, Japan and Korea. The existing site suffered from poor audience targeting, a topic-based navigation that didn’t match user needs, and technical constraints from legacy tools that had to be preserved.
We conducted a site scan, comparative analysis and stakeholder research to build an audience-based information architecture, interactive wireframes and a cohesive graphic system. Using Portal Engine and a Kentico team, we integrated legacy databases and search tools, delivered audience-specific pages and design comps, and produced a maintainable CMS-powered site that streamlines content, improves user experience and positions Trade & Invest BC to attract international investment and scale to localized markets.
