Toronto Rehab Foundation (TRF) is a not‑for‑profit rehabilitation foundation recently integrated into the University Health Network that needed a modern, distinct online presence to raise its profile, promote patient and donor stories, and drive online fundraising. Key challenges included maintaining brand independence within UHN, moving off a hard‑to‑manage subdomain, improving usability for multiple audiences, limited internal web resources, and making updates quick and simple.
A.K.A. New Media built a separate, on‑brand website with a new domain, clean navigation, a large donation‑focused homepage banner, visible social links and a Kentico CMS so non‑technical staff can update content easily. The redesign modernized TRF’s profile, made the site easier to find and use, increased engagement opportunities, and delivered on time and on budget, earning praise from TRF leadership.
