TheraSphere® Trials - Customer Case Study

BTG’s TheraSphere® clinical trials portal, built by Discover IT, needed to give physicians quick access to trial information and study directors, let doctors log in to view trial details and complete order forms, and allow logged-in users to submit questions for admin approval. Key challenges were improving site speed, making the site fully mobile-friendly, and ensuring the correct order form appeared for each of the three trials.

Discover IT implemented a Kentico-based solution using the Bootstrap framework for responsive design, extended the user database to store each doctor’s preferred order form, and added login, ordering and admin-approval workflows for questions. The site saw strong engagement—desktop sessions (~3,923) led usage, mobile sessions (~845) were significant, organic search was the largest acquisition channel (~2,923), and average session duration was ~220 seconds on desktop and ~120 seconds on mobile—while meeting the project’s functionality and performance goals.
