The Pelican Store, a division of Pak‑Rite in Milwaukee that sells genuine Pelican Cases, needed to move off an outdated custom platform and refresh its site and brand. Their goals were to modernize technology, improve user experience for buying cases, increase average order value and accessory attach rates, and support unique fulfillment, vendor management and reporting workflows.

Lightburn researched requirements and rebuilt the site on Kentico with custom functionality—including an order “Overview” dashboard, MVC checkout, UPS real‑time rating and address validation, full data migration, Avalara tax classes, inventory/back‑order and split‑order handling, vendor ordering and drop‑ship, delayed capture payments via Authorize.Net, fraud protection, WorldShip integration and custom reporting—completed in five months. The result was a modern, responsive store that increased overall conversions by 22%, revenue by 15% (≈$23,000), organic revenue by 85% and average order value by 15% (from $318 to $367).
