A Kentico Case Study
The Berkeley Partnership, a management consultancy, engaged Distinction to perform a “major fix” on a Kentico-based website originally launched in 2007 that proved inflexible and difficult for non-technical staff to update. After a three-way tender Distinction was chosen for their practical understanding of the issues and clear roadmap for making the site easier to manage and extend.
Over a one-month engagement Distinction used analytics to justify changes, reworked the portal engine and templates, introduced custom document types, workflow/versioning and tailored WYSIWYG styles, and implemented permissioned areas with customer access to a support section—alongside training for administrators. The result is a much more flexible, user-friendly site that the client can update confidently; The Berkeley Partnership continues to work with Distinction, who now also manage their online newsletter.
