Syz AG (swissaxisADweb — ad.syzag.ch) needed a mobile Extranet add‑on to its swissaxis®ERP for retail customers to give field staff anywhere/anytime access to product details, exact customer pricing and real‑time stock. The solution had to work on smartphones, tablets and notebooks, use secure connections for sensitive client data, support SQL Server replication so the ERP remained the authoritative source, synchronize user administration with the ERP, and allow an easily modifiable front gate with intranet functions (News, Documents). Multilingual support for Switzerland’s four official languages was also required.

Using Kentico CMS, Syz implemented a replication-enabled MS SQL connection, efficient ASPX data access and custom webparts to display CRM and field‑staff data, and enabled HTTPS/SSL on IIS. The result is a secure, multilingual Extranet integrated with the ERP that delivers up‑to‑date pricing, availability and customer info to field staff on any device, with minimal custom development thanks to Kentico’s out‑of‑the‑box features and flexible framework.
