A Kentico Case Study
Swinburne Student Amenities Association (SSAA) supports students at Swinburne University and needed a faster, easier way to communicate services and events online. Their goals were to provide more information and self-service tools for students while reducing the association’s administrative workload. Key challenges included a tight two-month timeline to launch before the semester and the need for many Club leaders to add content without accessing other site areas, plus varied content across templates.
The site was built on Kentico CMS, using its user-management and workflow features (with Facebook registration), custom forms and e-commerce for membership sign-up, BizForms, an events calendar with registrations, and flexible widgets for varied content. This approach allowed Club leaders to manage only their sections, enabled quick development to meet the deadline, and delivered richer online services, easier event and membership handling, and a reduced admin burden.
