A Kentico Case Study

Preview of the Fire Starter Publishing Case Study

Studer Group Publishing - Customer Case Study

Fire Starter Publishing, a provider of books, videos and magazines for healthcare professionals with 900,000 publications in circulation, needed two websites managed from a central point to support advanced e-commerce, mobile-friendly UX, high availability and tight two‑way integrations with on‑premises Dynamics SL, Dynamics CRM Online, a fulfillment house, UPS and tax services. Their goals were to eliminate manual processes, share customer/accounts across sites, support organization‑level contract pricing and discounts, and improve employee efficiency and online marketing capabilities.

Bit‑Wizards implemented Kentico Enterprise Marketing on dual Azure instances for high availability, used an Integration Bus plus scheduled tasks to synchronize accounts, orders and contacts across systems (via VPN, middleware and web services), and built custom e‑commerce extensions and responsive design. The project eliminated most manual cross‑department work, reduced order errors, enabled automated marketing campaigns, and delivered measurable business impact — including improved data integrity and employee engagement and $3.8M in sales in the first 11 months after launch.
