The City of Villach (Austria’s seventh-largest city) engaged EMAKINA CEE to modernize www.villach.at. The challenge was to replace an outdated site with a mobile-friendly, accessible, and multilingual portal that met public-sector directives and the varied needs of multiple target groups while providing an efficient content-management workflow.

EMAKINA delivered a responsive, accessible, multilingual site built on Kentico, integrating e‑government interfaces, connected administration databases, and the AKEM event manager for centralized event editing. With optimized search, interactive maps, social features and support for 86 simultaneous content editors, the relaunch shifted the site toward a service- and event-focused portal, improving citizen access across devices and languages and providing a future-proof backend.
