St Andrews Links, home to the game’s most iconic course and a seven‑course complex with a 600‑year heritage, needed a digital presence that matched its premium, world‑class status. The challenge was to translate that heritage and the full on‑site experience into a desktop and mobile environment that engaged golfers and non‑golfers alike, starting before a visit and continuing long after.
Precedent built a new site on Kentico EMS and launched a companion mobile app, combining striking photography and storytelling with features such as weather updates, course hints, scorecards and integrated blogging. The user‑friendly CMS empowered staff to contribute content and deepen community engagement. The result was a digital transformation that reinforced St Andrews’ brand—garnering 2,500 app downloads in the first week—and created a platform to deliver an ongoing world‑class visitor experience.
