SPAR South Africa, a national retail chain, needed to modernize an aging website to attract new customers, boost engagement and loyalty, increase repeat visits and store trips, and grow average basket sizes. Their old site lacked social media integration, had poor user experience, limited menu customization and weak analytics, so SPAR and partner Clyral sought a single, responsive channel that would work for both PC and mobile users and integrate with social platforms.
Clyral implemented Kentico CMS, adopting out-of-the-box features first to learn the platform and then building custom functionality where needed, leveraging Kentico’s mobile support, multi-site management, A/B testing and staging sync. The relaunched site earned industry recognition (including a Kentico Website of the Year finalist spot), delivered a professional outcome that satisfied SPAR, and set the foundation for further Kentico projects while analytics continue to measure long-term business impact.
