Southway Housing Trust, newly independent and responsible for thousands of homes formerly managed by Manchester City Council, appointed NetConstruct to design a public-facing website that would establish the organisation as a reliable, supportive landlord and become a primary means of 24/7 tenant engagement. The brief required an easy-to-use site, tenant involvement from the start, and a replacement for a manually updated site that could handle more than 40 online forms.

NetConstruct led a seven-day tenant consultation, worked with Southway’s brand agency to create the distinctive “Cat” device, wrote content, trained staff and implemented Kentico CMS (using BizForms) before hosting the site on Rackspace. The result is a contemporary, cost-effective website and password-protected tenant portal—offering rent payments, account checks, repair reporting and scheduling—that delivers two-way, 24/7 services and has been well received by tenants and staff.
