A Kentico Case Study
The Shrine of Remembrance, Victoria’s National War Memorial, needed a new website to better engage the community, increase education, honour service personnel and improve branding and user experience, while also reducing the time content administrators spend publishing and managing material. A major challenge was the volume and complexity of content—most notably the Books of Remembrance, where hundreds of high-resolution scanned pages had to be converted into a searchable virtual book so visitors could find loved ones who served in the Great War.
Get Started implemented a Kentico-based site in six months, leveraging out-of-the-box features, workflow management, reusable page templates and custom document types to speed development and simplify content governance. The build includes a product catalogue and e-commerce, donations, registrations, events and bookings (partially integrated with BookingBug), and a Kentico-powered search for the Books of Remembrance—delivering a more engaging public experience, stronger branding and significantly reduced administrative overhead.
