The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) is Northern Ireland’s health and social care inspection body, publishing more than 2,700 inspection reports a year and maintaining around 30,000 reports online. RQIA’s decade-old ColdFusion CMS was limiting mobility, accessibility, integration with its iConnect inspections system and the ability to serve a wide range of stakeholders, so it engaged i3 Digital to deliver a modern, flexible website.

i3 Digital built a Kentico-powered, fully responsive site with custom templates, forms, search and an interactive map-based, filterable inspections interface integrated with iConnect, designed to W3C AA accessibility standards. The redesign reduced average clicks to information from five to two and boosted engagement—page visits rose 33% to about 24,000 in Q2 (46,000 cumulative, >20% up year-on-year) while Twitter followers grew ~25% quarter-on-quarter.
