Radboudumc - Customer Case Study

Radboudumc, a Dutch academic medical center, set out to better express its mission and provide accessible, visible and efficient online services for patients, staff, medics and students. In 2016 they decided to replace an outdated website and web technology—while also solving the complex challenge of accommodating the needs and content of more than 100 departments—aiming for improved stability, performance and lower maintenance costs.

Working with Fabrique and TrueLime, the team built a custom front end on a standard Kentico back end using MVC and Agile/Scrum practices, and introduced a dialog-driven “What can I help you with?” search plus centrally structured content editors. The live site runs via APIs for a lighter, faster experience, delivering significantly quicker page loads, geographic server redundancy and Kentico Web Farm support for improved uptime and security, while making future updates and extensions easier and more cost‑effective.
