QuEST Global, a global provider of outsourced engineering and manufacturing services, needed an enterprise-wide intranet to manage its dispersed workforce and enable collaboration via blogs, forums, wikis, news, events and employee profiles. The platform had to authenticate against Active Directory, pull roles and access privileges from an Oracle HRMS that changes daily, provide single sign-on across many applications, and be built quickly with limited resources.

Ray Business Technologies implemented a Kentico-based intranet augmented with custom components: AD authentication, a scheduled console app to sync Oracle user and role data, a session interface to enable single sign-on across 40+ applications, and tailored modules for polls, events, CEO messages, org charts, search, feedback and favorites. The solution automated user/role management, enforced role-based access control and workflows, and delivered a maintainable, feature-rich intranet that met QuEST’s collaboration, security and content-management requirements.
