A Kentico Case Study

PortsToronto - Customer Case Study

The Toronto Port Authority (TPA) worked with Seventyeight Digital to address a legacy website built on an expensive, hard-to-use Ektron CMS that struggled with inconsistent navigation across its four business areas (Airport, Port, Marina, Organization), monthly noise‑report publishing, thousands of hard‑to‑find PDF press releases, and the need to integrate multiple operational systems while preparing for multilingual and mobile delivery.

Seventyeight migrated TPA to Kentico CMS, building section‑specific page templates, a WYSIWYG noise‑report template, media libraries and bulk file import for PDFs, BizForms for secure submissions, and connectors to operational systems and social media. The result was a streamlined, role‑based publishing workflow that non‑technical staff can manage, improved user experience with centralized branding and distinct unit identities, successful data migration, faster content updates, and a technical foundation for future extensions (mobile, French language, community features).
