Pitter Patter Chatter - Customer Case Study
NHS Wakefield’s Pitter Patter Chatter is a maternity and early-years advice site commissioned to serve expectant and new parents across Wakefield and surrounding areas. Delivered by Pixelbuilders, the project’s challenge was to combine a conventional advisory website with three key functions: a local services mapping system, an easy-to-access moderated forum, and a dedicated mobile site focused on breastfeeding and quick access to local contacts.
Over a 14-week build, public consultations informed a Kentico-based solution using custom tables plus Google’s Geolocation API for postcode/address searches, a GPS-enabled standalone mobile site with click-to-call phonebook links, and a moderated forum with identity requirements to ensure accurate peer support. All elements are managed from one CMS, giving parents fast, local, reliable information and providing the client with a flexible platform for future expansion.
