A Kentico Case Study
Pensacola Fuel Injection (PFI), a supplier of diesel and gasoline automotive parts, hired Bit-Wizards to migrate its sites—including the wholesale World Diesel brand— from an open-source CMS to Kentico to gain enterprise support, scalability, easier multi-site management, improved mobile shopping, and better product discovery. Major challenges included integrating PayPal Express, delivering real-time UPS/USPS shipping rates, building vehicle-specific product filtering, and replacing a single-point-of-failure VPS with a redundant, scalable hosting solution.
Bit-Wizards implemented Kentico with PayPal Express checkout, a real-time shipping estimator, and a product-association manager that tags parts by year/make/engine to dynamically surface relevant categories and imagery; the site was deployed on Azure with load-balanced redundant instances, Redis caching and auto-scaling. The relaunch produced clear gains—sessions +9.65%, new users +11.99%, pageviews +64.33%, pages/session +49.87%, average session duration +19.20% and a 5.32% increase in new sessions—while greatly improving availability (only one minor incident since launch).
