A Kentico Case Study
The Pennsylvania Tourette Syndrome Alliance (PATSA) is a nonprofit that supports people with Tourette Syndrome. Their original Kentico site had been poorly built by a developer unfamiliar with the platform, leaving PATSA with a hard-to-maintain site and unmet needs for photo galleries, event calendars, social media tie‑ins, a members‑only area and an easy-to-use admin interface for nontechnical staff; membership handling also needed to integrate third‑party payments.
JX2 redesigned and migrated the site onto Kentico (5.5 then 6), creating custom document types, templates, widgets and simple form‑driven page creation so staff can publish without coding. Features include Kentico lightbox galleries, social media API integration, community/membership automation with a single admin confirmation for paid signups, seasonal CSS theming, sitemap and analytics; the six‑week project delivered an easy backend, improved user experience and a successful membership renewal campaign that drove a spike in visits and dozens of renewals.
