Michael Grose’s Parenting Ideas, a provider of practical parenting and education resources for parents, teachers and schools, needed an online presence that matched its inspirational tone while adding ecommerce, a product catalogue and secure member logins. The main challenge was to present three distinct site sections (Teachers, Parents, Schools) that could share products and content while keeping the CMS templating structure simple, maintainable and extensible.

Get Started implemented Kentico CMS using a Portal approach and built most of the site from a single template, using visibility rules and macros to render three different-looking sections. Kentico modules (blogs, polls, video, secure login and ecommerce) made the site engaging and easy to update; the ecommerce experience proved effective, with over 50 ebook sales in the first week and a site that’s simple for the client to maintain and extend.
