MyKindaBook is a teen-focused book discovery site set up by Macmillan to showcase its YA authors. Facing an outdated CMS and a mobile-first audience, Pan Macmillan engaged Distinction to rebuild the site with a responsive design, personalised member experiences and integrations to boost monthly memberships, organic traffic and purchase conversions.

Distinction rebuilt the site on Kentico EMS and hosted it on Windows Azure, adding a personalised recommendation engine, extended commenting, contact management, A/B testing and workflow-friendly editing. Within the first month year‑on‑year the site saw major engagement gains (page views +55.6%, pages/visit +65.4%, avg visit duration +59.6%, search traffic +14.2%) and strong mobile improvements, while Kentico’s marketing tools now enable targeted campaigns, analytics and conversion tracking.
