Origin Housing, a provider of affordable housing and support services in north London and Hertfordshire, needed a modern, expandable intranet to improve internal communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing. Key goals included personalised dashboards, forums, wikis, polls and integration with their document management system (DMS). The project was complicated by strict security restrictions that prevented NetConstruct from accessing the intranet and DMS directly, making debugging and integration more challenging.

NetConstruct built the intranet on Kentico 8.2 in about 12 weeks, working closely with Origin’s IT and marketing teams to deliver a visually clear, responsive site with profiles, personalised dashboards, collaboration spaces, a “Favourites” shortcut feature and DMS versioned document editing. The result is a full-featured intranet that has driven positive user feedback, increased online form transactions, faster call-centre access to information and improved internal collaboration and efficiency.
