Ontario Arts Council - Customer Case Study

Ontario Arts Council (OAC) is a government arts funder with a 50‑year history of supporting artists and organizations across Ontario. OAC engaged Inorbital to replace an unresponsive, hard‑to‑navigate site with a bilingual, accessible site that better served grant applicants by integrating a third‑party grants management system (SmartSimple/Nova), improving search and content flows, and meeting WCAG 2.0 AA / AODA requirements.

Inorbital rebuilt arts.on.ca on the Kentico CMS with a full redesign, custom Page Types and a synchronization script that imports and links grants data into the site, plus an enhanced search, localization and workflow features. The project delivered AODA/WCAG compliance, markedly faster page performance (straight A’s on WebPageTest key indicators), and overwhelmingly positive stakeholder feedback, while achieving the primary goals of system integration and an improved user experience.
