Olympus Imaging Australia, the ANZ subsidiary of the century‑old Olympus Corporation, needed to modernize its consumer website to match the parent brand, improve content management and deliver ROI from a Kentico EMS upgrade. The site contained large amounts of legacy content and a complex page/taxonomy structure; the main technical challenge was moving off rigid ASPX templates to a flexible, browser‑based Portal model while keeping a simple editing experience for marketing users rather than developers.

Web Design Magic upgraded and migrated the site to Kentico EMS portal engine templates, used the Kentico Staging module to preserve and move content, and implemented hierarchical web parts, page types and layouts plus personalization and EDM via the Newsletter module. The result: marketers gained direct control of content, layout and personalization through the browser, faster template updates, better segmentation and campaign readiness, and a more maintainable site that supports ongoing marketing-driven ROI.
