Okaloosa Economic Development Council - Customer Case Study

The Okaloosa County Economic Development Council (Okaloosa EDC), a nonprofit public/private partnership focused on attracting and retaining jobs and investment, needed a modern website to better showcase investors, simplify navigation for site selectors and job seekers, and take advantage of newer Kentico CMS features and faster performance. Their existing Kentico 7 site was content-heavy and difficult to navigate, and staff required training and content-structuring guidance.

Bit-Wizards upgraded and redesigned the site on Kentico 10, conducted a content audit to scale and restructure pages around three key audiences, added homepage sections and a JavaScript investor logo carousel, and implemented Google Maps for available properties, Kentico forms, custom layout widgets, responsive UI, analytics, and SEO best practices. The result is a cleaner, faster site that highlights investors, improves usability and content management, and provides analytics for ongoing improvement, with plans to add a job-search API for talent attraction.
