Pull Digital was selected in 2013 to rebuild the NEC website for the Institution of Civil Engineers. NEC provides best-practice contracting, procurement and project management guidance (NEC3) and needed a site that could present and sell a complex mix of products and services to diverse customer segments and membership tiers. The brief included running two market-specific sites from one Kentico instance, supporting training, events, DRM-protected digital contracts, books with member pricing, complex membership subscriptions, and seamless CRM integration while enabling editors to manage content efficiently.
Pull implemented Kentico’s integration bus to synchronise products, orders, customers and pricing with Salesforce (including bi-directional contact sync and failover), extended pricing for multi-currency and marketing prices, customised checkout flows for delegates and bookings, and optimised registration to match users to CRM accounts. Two months after launch the site saw a 22% increase in users year-on-year, a 10% reduction in bounce rate and a 10% rise in organic search visits.
