A Kentico Case Study
National Commercial Bank Jamaica (NCB), the island’s largest financial group, asked Discover IT to redevelop its website to be faster, fully mobile-friendly and to improve customer features such as a branch/ATM finder, live FX rates, CRM form integration, enhanced navigation and a news system. Key challenges included styling and filtering an interactive map, displaying current FX rates, integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM, implementing mega-navigation and ensuring news items displayed in chronological order.
Discover IT rebuilt the site on the Kentico platform, integrating the Google Maps API with customised markers and dynamic filtering, consuming NCB’s web services for live FX rates, connecting forms to Dynamics CRM, using Kentico’s Hierarchical Viewer for the menu and creating custom page types and macros for news. Post-launch metrics showed sessions rising from 21,998 to 25,925 and bounce rate dropping from 26.98% to 5.36%, while new-user share remained stable (about 15%).
