A Kentico Case Study
MyFirstHome is a service run by Metropolitan’s Housing Options Plus team on behalf of the Homes and Communities Agency. The project brief was to transform a purely informational site into a transactional service that could support online account tracking for home buyers, stakeholder reporting, offline database interoperability and, in a later phase, document management — all while meeting HCA/Government branding, delivering excellent usability and scaling to several thousand transactions a year.
NetConstruct built a fully responsive Kentico site with clear signposting, glossaries and FAQs; buyer registration authenticates against the internal system using a unique identifier and pulls account data via FTP, while a role-aware stakeholder area provides report and document access. Although phased and still new, the site has already doubled online enquiries year‑on‑year in 2015, delivering call‑centre administration savings and improved record keeping.
