A Kentico Case Study
Military Swords Ltd (MDL) is a UK specialist in antique arms, armour and militaria with one of the largest inventories in the sector. Their website is business-critical, but after a company restructure their back-end processes were inefficient: buyers had to be in the office to update inventory before items could appear online, risking lost sales and data fragmentation. MDL needed to simplify administration, preserve historic data, and keep customers engaged without changing the front-end experience their loyal customers liked.
Red Transact ran workshops, migrated data and delivered a Kentico-based solution that included a product catalogue, multi-currency B2C e‑commerce, a stolen items register, a Wilkinson Sword directory and subscriber product alerts that give members 24‑hour early access. The CMS lets buyers update stock and upload images from anywhere, eliminating manual re-keying and improving efficiency. The phased Agile/RAD delivery retained key clients, added new customer services and made the site far easier for staff to manage.
