Mid Ulster Council engaged partner i3 Digital to build a single intranet after its 2015 launch to replace disparate departmental processes and keep staff informed during public administration reviews and proposed council mergers. The Council needed a user-friendly platform that supported newsletters, a searchable document library, staff directory, leave requests, an events calendar and links to external sites while accommodating many departmental requirements.

i3 Digital implemented a Kentico-powered intranet with workflow and version control, a moderated forum, an editable homepage carousel and all required integrations, completing the project in about seven weeks. The solution remains in use, cutting internal paper waste by 40% and improving internal efficiencies by 18% within one year.
