MetroGIS - Customer Case Study

MetroGIS, a voluntary collaboration of government, non-profits, businesses and utilities serving the Twin Cities, needed to replace a content-rich but outdated website (originally designed in 1996) that no longer met user needs. The organization issued an RFP for a Kentico CMS architecture to deliver intuitive site architecture and navigation, robust PDF/document management, highlighted content areas, cross‑browser and mobile compatibility, ADA accessibility, an archive portal, and support for multiple stakeholder audiences.

High Monkey designed wireframes and reusable page templates, built the site in Kentico using out‑of‑the‑box features, assisted with content migration, ran functional and accessibility testing, and provided documentation and staff training. The result is a modern, responsive, ADA‑compliant site that is easy to navigate and maintain, meets user needs, and enables MetroGIS staff to manage content independently; Kentico was selected for cost‑effectiveness, familiarity, responsive templates and integration capabilities.
