MedicAlert, a nonprofit that maintains an emergency medical information database for members, needed to modernize its aging Classic ASP website to support increased online business and a more streamlined purchase experience. Key challenges included poor performance and maintainability of legacy code, complex shopping-cart logic with three user-specific flows and discounts, CRM-to-site data synchronization, external user login requirements, bilingual support and the need to scale for over a million members.

Citytech migrated the site to Kentico CMS & Ecommerce Suite, replacing legacy code with .NET and leveraging out‑of‑the‑box ecommerce, social and workflow features to simplify the purchase path and ongoing maintenance.
