Luminato Festival, Toronto’s annual ten-day arts and creativity festival, engaged A.K.A. New Media to replace an unresponsive, hard-to-navigate website and antiquated ticketing flow. The brief was to build a global, mobile-responsive digital presence that simplified and shortened the path to purchase, integrated event ticketing with Kentico CMS, enabled personalized event schedules, and drove a 20% increase in ticket revenue and new-to-file buyers.

A.K.A. rebuilt the site on Kentico with seamless Spektrix integration, a dynamic UX, and a custom festival schedule planner featuring conflict resolution and shareable unique schedule URLs. From April–June 2016 the new site delivered a 55% increase in page views (2.2M), 39% more new visitors, a 123% jump in mobile usage, $1.37M in ticket revenue (exceeding the $1.23M target), 121,000 direct engagements, high user satisfaction and minimal web-related complaints, while expanding Luminato’s international reach.
