Local One, the premier stagehand union of IATSE, needed a modern, mobile-friendly website and better member tools. Their existing site was non-responsive and relied on an obsolete IE8-only newsletter system; they also required secure member-only access, migration of membership data from Ektron to a new CMS, improved steward time-reporting, a digital “Availability Room,” and training so staff could manage content and communications.

iMedia redesigned the site responsively on Kentico, migrated users and rebuilt registration, created custom steward reporting tables and a 72-hour “availability” feature, and implemented dynamic newsletters to targeted groups of 3,000+ members; iMedia also hosts and supports the site on Microsoft Azure. Since the October 2017 launch, traffic and conversions have increased, newsletters are far easier to manage, and pages per session rose by 39%, making it much simpler for members to find time-sensitive information from any device.
