Lay & Wheeler, the fine-wine division of the Majestic Group and operator of the Cellar Circle subscription and En Primeur services, needed a modern e-commerce site to reflect its brand, simplify a complex purchasing journey, and support growing mobile/tablet traffic. Their outdated CMS and cumbersome checkout were hurting engagement, conversions and internal content management, so the business sought a rebuild to increase registrations and sales while maintaining strong product and membership functionality.

The new platform made site management far easier, unified the brand experience and streamlined buying and account management; results included the best April in five years, beating early sales targets, and a 19% uplift in organic traffic in the first week post-launch.
