Koninklijke Visio - Customer Case Study

Koninklijke Visio (Royal Dutch Visio) is the national foundation for people who are blind or visually impaired in the Netherlands, providing rehabilitation, counseling, care, housing and education. The organization wanted a Section 508–compliant website built on a CMS, with the key challenge of enabling content editors to add and update content without having to worry about accessibility compliance.

TrueLime implemented the site in Kentico CMS 4.1 using the Web Accessibility Toolbar and only minimal code changes. A custom web part lets users adjust text size and contrast (each layout stored as separate stylesheets), while a form-based editor approach with customized document types, templates and repeaters keeps editors away from HTML and styling. The result is a fully accessible, easy-to-manage site that meets accessibility guidelines, required little customization and lets editors work independently.
