The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber engaged Bit-Wizards to build an event e-commerce site for its Kings of the Court charity basketball tournament, which raises funds for One Hopeful Place and Impact Emerald Coast. The project required a consumer-facing registration and payment flow, sponsor promotion, Instagram and video integration, and a launch in just three and a half weeks — a challenge compounded by Kentico’s out-of-the-box checkout not supporting the event’s required registration flow.

Bit-Wizards delivered a Kentico 11 site with a custom web part to manage team registration through order and payment screens, secure Authorize.net payment processing, SendGrid confirmation emails, and a simple team-photo naming/timestamp solution. They also integrated Wistia video for the homepage and a mini-app to pull Instagram photos. The site launched on schedule, enabled online registration that wouldn’t otherwise have existed, and increased participation, fundraising and community awareness for the supported charities.
