A Kentico Case Study
Doors Open Ontario, run by the Ontario Heritage Trust, required a full redesign of its six‑year‑old CMS site to meet Web 2.0 standards and new government guidelines. The project needed to handle a huge volume of bilingual content and a complex navigation structure while adding features such as passworded community submissions with image upload/preview, geomapping, robust event calendars, build‑your‑own‑itinerary, accessibility, SEO and mobile/app support — all manageable by multiple staff through improved workflows.
Inorbital redeveloped the site on the Kentico CMS with custom web‑parts, a photo‑driven contemporary design, an intelligent mega‑menu and well‑defined UX/wireframes. The finished site delivered the required functionality (secure content workflows, event and mapping tools, photo galleries, social sharing, itinerary export and mobile readiness), improved usability and maintainability, and provided a scalable, cost‑effective platform supported by Kentico.
