A Kentico Case Study
Cenveo, a $2B global leader in print management, needed to modernize and unify its multiple B2B customer portals into a single multisite ordering platform (Kadena) while preserving existing ERP and third‑party integrations. ACTUM faced tight UX, architecture and SaaS goals—decoupling the front end into microservices, supporting multiple customer instances, and integrating with systems like SAP, TIBCO Spotfire and Noosh—while working remotely across time zones and meeting Cenveo’s strict QA standards.
ACTUM built Kadena 2.0 as a cloud-native AWS platform with a Kentico-based product catalog, a React checkout, and about 30 REST microservices; it integrates PDF tooling, BI, procurement, DAM and a secure payment gateway. The MVP was delivered on time in four months (2017), moved immediately into customer onboarding and feature phases, and was prepared for external procurement (PunchOut/Ariba), enabling a scalable, SaaS-ready B2B print ordering solution.
