Julian Fellowes's Belgravia - Customer Case Study

Syndicut built the digital platform for Julian Fellowes’ novel Belgravia (in partnership with Hachette), tasked with delivering a time‑released eBook experience where readers could buy weekly chapters or the full book. The main challenge was driving custom content and e‑commerce features to an externally hosted website and Android/iPhone apps while ensuring high performance at scale and protecting bonus media via expiring URLs and encryption.

Syndicut delivered a RESTful Web API fronting a Kentico CMS, customised the Kentico–S3 integration to generate time‑limited randomized URLs, added encryption and scheduled tasks to feed marketing systems, and integrated PayPal, promo codes and app update/versioning via the API. The launch saw over 2,000 registrations in the first four hours; to date the platform has exceeded 20,000 user sign‑ups and processed more than 10,000 orders.
