A Kentico Case Study
iTag ID, developed for the Canadian Medic Alert Foundation, is a personal identification and medical-information system for active individuals who want quick access to lifesaving data if they become incapacitated. The project required delivering vital wearer and emergency-contact information via a toll-free number using an iTAG ID, while addressing challenges such as presenting linked packages and add-ons, synchronizing captured data with manufacturing and hotline back-end systems, streamlining registration and email-based login, and supporting multiple languages.
Ray Business Technologies implemented the portal on Kentico CMS, building account activation and management, emergency and health-data capture, engraving specification, and service controls. Kentico and CRM web services handled product linkages, back-end data sync to manufacturing and support, and retrieval/update of medical-condition data; Kentico shopping-cart modules simplified registration flow, APIs enabled email-based login validation, and resource strings provided multilingual support. The new site improved user experience and marketing engagement, increased online engagement, boosted conversions by ~20%, received positive customer feedback, and improved search rankings.
