IRI, a big-data company that integrates purchase, media, social and loyalty data for CPG, retail and healthcare clients, needed to align its European web presence with a new U.S. Kentico site. The European marketing team engaged a partner to centralize multiple country sites into a single multilingual portal, create global gateway selectors and launch eight geo-targeted country sites—work made harder by a tight timeline, a learning curve on a site not originally developed by the partner, and intensive coordination across several countries.

The partner evaluated and mapped the new content, localized custom page types and optimized templates, pages, web parts and resource strings, then executed the content load with only minor issues; strong communication and teamwork were key. The result is a single administration for nine country sites, much faster content replication and localization, and an initial traffic lift of roughly 14–60% (with some increases in bounce rate likely related to new templates); plans are underway to adopt Kentico EMS for further marketing capabilities.
