Herbert Brown, a Leeds-founded retailer established in 1840 with nearly 50 UK stores, specialises in pre-owned prestige watches and luxury jewellery. The brief was to launch a profitable eCommerce channel for watches and jewellery, deliver a seamless responsive experience for a user base where over 50% of traffic comes from mobile/tablet, manage more than 1,000 unique products and provide comparison tools to help well-informed buyers, while also driving more in-store visits.
pixelbuilders built a fully responsive Kentico-powered site (responsive checkout and GPS-enabled store locator), added a CSV bulk product uploader with direct Kentico editing, and a comparison feature for up to four items, plus integrated SagePay and Pay4Later. Early results show dramatically improved mobile bounce rate and pages per view, operational efficiencies from bulk product management, strong SEO performance for generic and local searches, and frequent use of the store locator; Kentico was chosen for its security and ability to handle high traffic and many products.
